Want to join us at the Leanne Hughes Theatre School? With weekly classes in ISTD Ballet, Tap, and Modern dance – as well as Jazz, Musical Theatre, Contemporary and Pointe Work classes there is something for everyone. Children are welcome from 3 years old, and weekly adult classes in Ballet, Tap and Modern are also held and are suitable for all levels.
Pupils may get the opportunity to perform at events, festivals and take examinations, and also perform regularly at local events including the Leighton Buzzard May Fayre, the St Barnabus Church Fayre, and numerous dance festivals throughout the region. We also hold an annual Prizegiving show, a choreography competition, and a bi-annual main show. Over 1000 people came to our last show!

Frequently asked Questions
How does my child join? You should contact us in the first instance by telephone on 01908 617234 or by completion our Online Registration. After an initial chat we will advise you of the class times and a start date for your child, provided that there is space available in your chosen class(es). If the class is full, you will be able to go onto our waiting list.
How much does it cost? Class fees are currently £5.00 per lesson, payable termly in advance. When you join you will be given the opportunity to pay a two week non-refundable deposit for each class your child wishes to start, to ensure that your child settles in and that you are happy. After this stage you will be invoiced class fees for the remainder of the term.
Some discounts are offered where more than one class is taken. Lessons in Drama, Junior Jazz and Private Lessons are paid weekly, please contact us for prices on these. All prices are subject to change.
What should my child wear? Loose, comfortable clothing (e.g. t-shirt and tracksuit bottoms or shorts) should be worn for the first few classes, unless you have appropriate uniform. After the first two classes it is required that correct uniform be worn. We have an on site shop where our friendly staff can advise you on the uniform required for your childs chosen class(es). Can I watch my childs classes? Parents are only permitted to watch classes during the last week of term. You are able to wait within the school premises when your childs lesson is on if you wish.
Your first day at the school. You should arrive approximately 10-15 minutes before the lesson is due to commence. There are male and female changing rooms on site. When you arrive you should introduce yourself to the shop staff, who will advise you on where to change and may ask you to complete a registration form, (unless you have done so already). There is free parking at the school.
Do I have to complete a registration form for Adult Classes? No, we will ask for some information on your first day with us, but a completed registration form is not required. For more information on our Adult classes in Ballet, Tap and Modern please contact us on 01908 617234.
